A mother tosses in her bed, exhausted yet alert. In the other room, her four-year-old is sleeping heavily after a long day of play. His blood sugar is steadily dropping but he doesn’t feel it, he won’t wake up. Unable to fall asleep, his mother anxiously tiptoes in to test his blood. This is her life; constantly watching her son for low blood sugar symptoms, dosing with insulin, dealing with tricky sick-days. This is the life of a type 1 diabetic and those who love him.

Okay, guys, I’ve got an exciting announcement. I am going to be hosting a blog tour-style event next month to raise awareness for service dogs. And I’m going to need your help.

This event is designed to raise awareness for all types of service dogs – and even therapy dogs – and for the incredible work that goes into them.

In order to launch this event, I need your help. You would be perfect to take part if . . .

  • You have had any experience with service AND/OR therapy dogs;
  • You have had experience puppy-raising for a service or guide dog;
  • You work with a therapy dog;
  • You work with a service dog;
